1835 C-2 Half Cent, MS64 Red
CAC-Approved Near-Gem
1835 1/2 C C-2, B-2, R.1, MS64 Red PCGS. CAC. Bright
orange-red surfaces contain minimal deeper-colored disruptions and
also are devoid of contact marks. Strike is strong on both sides.
Two die marriages exist for the final year of Classic Head
circulation strikes. The present C-2 can be easily differentiated
by the close ST in STATES; both die marriages share an obverse die.
Among both die marriages, just 32 examples are graded MS64 Red,
with only 10 finer (11/25).Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 35293, Base PCGS# 1170, Greysheet# 376123)
