Red Near-Gem 1835 Half Cent, C-1
1835 1/2 C MS64 Red PCGS. C-1, B-1, R.1. A beautiful and essentially mark-free brick-red near-Gem with minor mellowing and carbon on the portrait and obverse field. On its own, the reverse appears to merit an even finer grade. Housed in an old green label holder. MRB MS64.Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 11/2007), lot 39, which realized $4,600.(Registry values: P1)
