1849 1/2 C Large Date, C-1, B-4, R.2, MS65 Brown NGC. Manley Die State 2.0. Die markers visible on the earliest strikes have faded out and are no longer visible, the usual state for these dies. Smooth and sharply struck with lustrous sea-green and mahogany-brown surfaces. This Gem half cent displays original mint red near the wreath and reverse legends. Census: 8 in 65 Brown, 1 finer (12/18). Our EAC grade MS62.Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 35318, Base PCGS# 1218, Greysheet# 80927)
