The Only 1840s Circulation Strike

1849 1/2 C Large Date, C-1, B-4, R.2, MS65 Brown PCGS. CAC. Ex: Missouri Cabinet. A mostly sharp strike and pristine surfaces are unusual on this prooflike Mint State piece that retains noticeable mint red on the obverse. This important piece represents the only circulation-strike half cent dated in the 1840s. Population: 8 in 65 Brown, 0 finer (11/23).
