Vibrant Red Gem 1854 Half Cent
1854 1/2 C MS65 Red NGC. C-1, B-1, R.1. This is a scarcer date in the 1850s to locate in both Gem condition and with full red color. Sharply defined throughout, the surfaces are bright orange-red overall with gray streaks here and there. An impressive, fully lustrous example. EAC 63. Population: 4 in 65 Red, 0 finer (6/08).Ex: Philadelphia Signature (Heritage, 8/2000), lot 6559, which realized $3,680.(Registry values: P1)
