Boldly Defined 1854 C-1 Half Cent, MS66 Brown
1854 1/2 C MS66 Brown NGC. C-1, B-1, R.1. An early die state with a short horizontal die line left of the 1 in the date from a misplaced punch. Later die states have that feature fading away. The subdued dark brown surfaces host sharp design elements with traces of faded mint red and iridescence. MRB MS60. Census: 12 in 66 Brown, 2 finer (2/10).(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 1230, Greysheet# 672)
