Description
Unsurpassable 1854 Half Cent, MS 65 Red
1854 1/2 C MS 65 Red NGC. The 1854, as with all Coronet half cents, is difficult to locate in any grade with fully original surfaces. A pristine Gem is that much more elusive, and the coin that we offer here is one of only eight such pieces known to both major grading services (5/00). Predominantly pink-red in color, the surfaces display mottled crimson and lavender accents. The strike is equally bold over the peripheral devices and the central portraits.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26YY, PCGS# 1232, GSID# 674)
