Description
1855 1/2 C C-1, B-1, R.1, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. Bright mint orange remains at the margins of this attractive Gem, while rich-brown color overlays the centers. A sharp strike exists throughout both sides, with stars 11 and 13 rounded and some blending of the dentils on each side. A mintage of 56,500 pieces yields only about two dozen Gem or finer Red and Brown representatives (2/19).
