Description

1855 Half Cent, C-1, MS65 Red
Frosty and Attractive

1855 1/2 C C-1, B-1, R.1, MS65 Red PCGS. Frosty copper-red luster illuminates Gem-quality surfaces on this full Red 1855 half cent, delivering excellent eye appeal. The obverse portrait is bold, and only star 13 lacks radial lines. The reverse wreath is a trifle soft on the uppermost leaves but is sharp elsewhere. The border dentils are characteristically ill-defined on each side. Tiny, scattered specks are present beneath a loupe but fail to impact the naked-eye appearance. Our EAC grade MS65. Population: 32 in 65 Red, 0 finer (11/15).
