1855 Braided Hair Half Cent, MS66 Red and Brown
C-1, B-1, None Finer at PCGS
1855 1/2 C C-1, B-1, R.1, MS66 Red and Brown PCGS Gold
Shield. Strong mint luster glows from large expanses of mint
red color, overlaid with steel-blue accents to easily achieve the
Red and Brown designation. A sharp strike exists throughout the
central devices, while the borders show areas of minor weakness at
the dentils. The eye appeal is excellent. This Premium Gem example
is the sole-finest 1855 certified by PCGS in Red and Brown. All
other MS66 pieces are in Brown format, with none finer (1/19). Our
EAC grade MS63.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26YZ, Variety PCGS# 35334, Base PCGS# 1234, Greysheet# 373919)
