Description

1855 1/2 C MS63 Red NGC. C-1, B-1, R.1. While a large number of Red Mint State 1855 half cents survive, nearly all are plagued with numerous unsightly carbon spots. The present piece has a noticeable reverse spot between the F and A, but no other major spots on either side. The surfaces are fully brilliant with frosty cartwheel luster. EAC 64.
