1857 1/2 C MS63 Red and Brown NGC. C-1, B-1, R.2. A splendid Mint State piece, with an envelope that stated a grade of "EF" and a price of $2.50. Both sides of this fully lustrous example have considerable bright orange luster blended with pleasing blue-brown toning. The final-year half cents are rarely encountered with as much original color as on this piece. EAC 64.From The Collection of a Dallas Gentleman.(Registry values: P2)
