Full Red 1857 Half Cent, MS64
C-1, B-1
1857 1/2 C MS64 Red PCGS. C-1, B-1, R.2. The final
half cent issue has a meager mintage of 35,180 pieces, and full Red
pieces are both scarce and underappreciated. This is a smooth
peach-gold near-Gem with a couple of minor reverse spots. The
striking details are good overall in spite of minor blending across
portions of the denticles. Housed in a first generation holder. MRB
