Choice Red 1857 Half Cent
1857 1/2 C MS64 Red PCGS. C-1, B-1, R.2. The final half cent date has a meager mintage of 35,180 pieces, and predominantly Red examples are both scarce and underappreciated. This orange-red near-Gem is well struck except for the TY in LIBERTY. A small spot is noted at 9:30 on the obverse. Housed in a green label holder. MRB MS64.
