(1835-36) Feuchtwanger 50 Cent, XF40
(1835-36) Feuchtwanger 50 Cents XF40 NGC. Low-149, PA HT-413,
R.7. An extremely rare token that is seldom seen or offered.
This particular example shows pale gray color throughout, with
light obverse pitting visible with a glass. The obverse shows three
minor die cracks, one left from the left horse's head, another down
to the right wing of the eagle at the top and yet another to the
right horse's head which continues through the head to the perch
holding the central eagle. On the reverse we note that most of the
wreath is well struck save for the upper right portion. The S. of
F.S. shows recutting as does the 0 in 50. Of the few known at least
one is punctured and another shows an attempted puncture. It is not
known what F.S. stands for on the reverse.
Extremely Rare, HT-413
