    Description

New York (1844-46) NY & MO HT-282, R.6, Irving, L.G. & Pease, J.S., VG10 NGC. A rare token struck in brass. Heavy, even wear shows overall and there are no singularly mentionable marks. This is an unusual dual-city card with Irving has a New York address while Pease is from St. Louis. There are two variations of the card in that this one has the legend ending SELDOM LIVES IN RUIN, while another variation reads SELDOM LIVES IN VAIN.
    From The Troy Wiseman Collection.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 7HV6, PCGS# 661000)
