1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim -- Cleaned -- NGC Details. Unc. The classically inspired beauty of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' design for the High Relief twenty dollar is immediately apparent when viewing this coin. The central obverse design -- adapted from his figure of Victory in the Sherman Monument -- is set in medal-like solitude in the center. Saint-Gaudens placed E PLURIBUS UNUM around the edge so the obverse would be uncluttered; thus enhancing the impression of a medal. The surfaces are hairlined on each side, subduing the satin finish normally seen.
