Description
1907 High Relief Wire Rim Double Eagle
Collectible MS61 Example
1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim, MS61 NGC. While many
examples of the 1907 High Relief double eagle are out of reach for
the average collector, this lower-end Uncirculated coin may be more
attainable. It is lightly marked, as the grade suggests, but far
more appealing than the AU and impaired coins seen, which are
usually the pieces presented as "affordable options." Here is an
accessible piece that does not rest on impairments to make it
collectible. Instead, it is a problem-free piece, and its minor
abrasions are not all that bothersome. Rich honey-gold color adorns
each side.(Registry values: N4719)From The Robert C. Pickett Collection.
