Description
Classic 1907 High Relief, Wire Rim Twenty, MS61
1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS61 NGC. The undeniable beauty, imbedded history, and relative scarcity of the 1907 High Relief, Roman Numeral twenty makes it an American numismatic masterpiece, regardless of the type of rim (Wire or Flat). This example happens to be the Wire Rim, which is more common than its Flat Rim counterpart, although each type typically sells at comparable price levels. The current offering is a Mint State survivor which displays amber-gold coloration and pleasantly lustrous surfaces throughout. Enough scattered abrasions are visible to limit the grade to MS61, although the immediate eye appeal of this piece suggests a higher designation.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26F2, PCGS# 9135, GSID# 10131)
