    Description

Above Average Carving by 'High Roller'

1929 Hobo Nickel by an OHNS-Named Classic Carver. Chris Dempsey purchased this nickel at the 2012 Michigan State Numismatic Show, attracted by the distinctive accent lines across the hat and jacket. The nickel now serves as an OHNS plate coin for "High Roller" on hobonickels.org. A butterfly bow adorns the hat band and sits above the large ear. Both ear and hat sit well back on the hobo's head.
