INDIA. Kushan Empire. Vasudeva I (ca. AD 191-230). AV dinar (23mm, 1h). ANACS AU 58. Kushan standard, Bactria, main mint (probably Balkh), late phase. ÞAONANOÞAO B-AZOΔHO KOÞANO, Vasudeva standing facing, head left, flames on right shoulder, sacrificing with right hand over altar surmounted by filleted trident, long trident in left; dotted border beneath feet / OHÞO, Siva (Shiva or Oesho) standing facing, single head with flaming halo, two arms, erect lingamm, trident with annulet on shaft in left hand, diadem in right; the bull Nandi standing left behind, three pellets before, tamgha to upper left, dotted border. ANS Kushan 1091-3 var. (no pellets on reverse). Excellent centering on highly lustrous flan. Die shift noted on reverse.
