cascades across the Jewel devices of this historic piece.The first independent Muslim sultanate of the Deccan plateau, the Bahmanis of Deccan were perpetually at war with neighboring kingdoms, particularly the Vijayanagar Empire. 'Ala Al-Din Ahmad II achieved victory against Devaraya II of Vijayanagar in 1443 with the last major conflict between the two foes.
