    Description

British India. George V 1/4 Anna 1911-(c) MS65 Brown NGC, Calcutta mint, KM511, S&W-8.335. One of an astounding two coins of this date and mint combination offered at the gem level in this sale. One should not be fooled by this unusual presence, however, as this remains a decidedly difficult date to acquire in higher grades. Tied for second-finest certified across both PCGS and NGC to-date, with only one example seen finer at MS66. Beautifully toned, with red fields dressed in midnight blue.
