    British India. George VI silver Proof Restrike Rupee 1945-(B) PR65 NGC, Bombay mint, KM557.1, S&W-9.30. Early restrike issue produced in the few years following 1945. Fully struck from flawless dies, and nearly devoid of handling, the surfaces dressed in elements of overlapping silver and champagne tone. Impressively pedigreed to both David Fore (Balwin's Auction 82, Lot 692) and to the collection of Randy Weir.
