British India. Victoria gold Off-Metal Restrike 1/4 Anna 1897-(c) PR63 Cameo NGC, Calcutta mint, S&W-6.541, Prid pg-193. 12.73gm. Fabulous representative from this ever-collectible gold off-metal series, the only example presently certified and pedigreed to the famed Fore collection. The Restrike is evinced by some granularity across Victoria's bust, but the reverse motifs appear quite nicely struck up and crisp. Some copper spotting presents sparingly across the olive-toned fields, quite natural for the series. In all respects, desirable and competitive.
