Description
George V Proof Restrike Rupee 1912(B), KM-524, Choice Restrike. There is a touch of die rust in the obverse field. This Rupee fits nicely with the other restrikes in this sale. Importantly, it should be noted that this piece has the 'diamond' test mark in the obverse field used to test the dies of the late 1930 and early 1940 Indian coins. This is very rarely encountered on these restrikes. The rims are consistent through these pieces as well--they are NOT polished.Auction Info
