Description
Victoria Proof Restrike Rupee 1840, KM-457, Obverse 1, Indian head, PR-54, diagonal ridge on top back and bottom ribbons. This is a Choice restrike with a touch of die rust on the truncation. As with the 1835 in this sale, this is an early mid-20th century restrike, struck before the dies were polished, and used on the majority of the restrikes. 31mm with 35 reverse berries, no crescent or V in bow.Auction Info
