Nayakas of Chitradurga. Madakeri Nayaka gold Pagoda ND (1565-1779) MS62 NGC, Fr-381, Mitch-882. Obverse features Durga seated facing wearing headdress, while on reverse is Sri Pratapa Krishnaraya in Devanagari.

Originally a feudatory kingdom of the Vijayanagara Empire, the Nayakas of Chitradurga ruled areas of eastern Karnataka and are considered an integral part of Kannada folklore.
