Lord & Lady Curzon gold Proof Viceroy of India Medal 1899 PR63 Ultra Cameo NGC, BHM-3643, Eimer-1835. 51mm/102.8g. By Allen Wyon. Obv. Conjoined busts of George Nathaniel Curzon with Mary Curzon left; titles around. Rev. Curzon coat of arms with female supporters; PRESENTED • BY • HIS • EXCELLENCY • THE • GOVERNOR • GENERAL at legend. A handsomely preserved medal with dramatic cameo contrast between the high-relief motifs and the fields. Light hairlines define the grade, but essentially no marks as seen; a real rarity for the medal this size in such a soft metal. Undoubtedly extremely rare in gold and given its multi-country theme, a medal we could imagine fitting perfectly into a large number of collections.Ex. Lawerence Adams Collection
