1859 1C MS64 NGC. This is a pleasing near-Gem example of the first-year 1859 Indian cent, the only issue in the series with the Laurel Wreath Without Shield reverse. Well struck and lustrous with rich reddish coppery-brown coloration and minimal surface marks. (Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 227E, PCGS# 2052, GSID# 1289)
