1859 Cent, Snow-2, FS-302, MS65
Repunched Date, Tied for Finest Certified
1859 1C Repunched Date, Snow-2, FS-302, MS65 PCGS.
Repunching is clearest on the 8, but also at the base of the 1 and
the flag of the 5. Snow-2 is very scarce to rare, according to the
Cherrypickers' Guide. PCGS has only seen 16 submissions
specifically designated as such. This is one of two Gems, and none
are graded higher (1/17). Bright bronze-gold surfaces yield vibrant
luster. Fully struck with a pale woodgrain pattern on the obverse,
