Gem 1860 Indian Head Cent
Elusive Pointed Bust Variety

1860 1C Pointed Bust MS65 PCGS. The 1860 Pointed Bust Indian Head cent is much more difficult to locate than its Broad Bust counterpart. Richard Snow estimates an original mintage of about 1 million pieces and, since the variety was not recognized until recent times, few examples were saved by collectors. The present coin is a well struck Gem, with luminous copper-red surfaces. Population: 29 in 65, 6 finer (8/10).
