Description

1860 Pointed Bust Cent, MS67
Fantastic First-Year Coin

1860 1C Pointed Bust MS67 PCGS. The 1860 Indian cents began the brief five-issue run of Oak Wreath reverse cents with copper-nickel alloy. As one might expect, Superb Gem Mint State examples are exceedingly elusive regardless of their specific date. This first-year Pointed Bust representative has excellent detail, including four complete diamonds on Liberty's ribbon. Luster is largely peach-gold with elements of lighter apricot. Aside from a flyspeck on the lowest feather there are few flaws to be found. PCGS has certified only two Pointed Bust coins as MS67 and none finer (1/14).(Registry values: P4)
