Description

1860 Indian Cent, PR65
Attractively Toned Proof

1860 1C PR65 NGC. Snow-PR1. The 1860 Indian Cent proof is the first-year issue to feature the oak wreath and shield reverse, with a production of 1,000 pieces. This Gem proof is sharply struck with a reflective array of lavender, ocean-blue and orange hues in the fields contrasting with lustrous caramel and gold devices. Only a couple of tiny carbon spots are visible under a loupe that account for the grade, and a thin wire strikethrough extending from Liberty's lower lip is a playful pedigree marker (as struck).
