Iridescently Toned 1861 Cent, MS66

1861 1C MS66 PCGS. Sharply defined throughout with no mentionable or observable marks. The original "white" color of the copper-nickel alloy has taken on a beautiful iridescence. The same colors are present on each side, but they are differently located. The mint luster shows a spectrum of colors from pale whitish-purple to rose to bright golden. A beautiful copper-nickel cent and seldom seen in this grade.(Registry values: N1793)
