Description

1864 1C Copper-Nickel MS65 PCGS. Approximately 25% of the Indian cents dated 1864 were struck in copper-nickel; the remainder were produced in bronze. This Gem example is well struck and lustrous, with subtly variegated coloration on both sides. The surfaces are blemish-free with minimal flyspecks. Only the upper feather tips of Liberty's headdress are softly struck. Certified in a first-generation PCGS holder. (Registry values: N1793)
