Exceptional 1864 Copper-Nickel Small Cent, MS66 PCGS
1864 1C Copper-Nickel MS66 PCGS. Sharply struck and with exceptional eye appeal. The feathers are very well defined except at the extreme tips, while the diamonds are all fully defined. Due to the hardness of the copper-nickel composition, which was still relatively new to the mint, design details were not always sharp. It is important for today's collector to seek an example that shows good definition. This premium Gem has rich gold patina with satiny surfaces.
