Description
Important 1864 L on Ribbon Cent, MS65 Red and Brown
Repunched Date, Snow-3
1864 1C L On Ribbon MS65 Red and Brown NGC. FS-2302, Snow-3.
A prominent repunched date with tripling on the 18 and doubling on
the rest of the digits. Surfaces range from copper-pink to salmon
and olive-blue. A well-defined Gem that is minimally marked and
offers considerable variety in its eye appeal. A condition census
for the variety is necessarily speculative, but it is hard to
imagine this coin being near the top, if not at the
summit.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 227M, PCGS# 2080, Greysheet# 1453)
