Description

1865 1C Plain 5, Repunched Date, Snow-1, FS-301, MS64 Red PCGS. The date was initially entered with an upward slant, then repunched in a level position. Repunching is apparent near the tops of all four digits. Crisply struck, lustrous, and unabraded. Orange-gold overall with minor obverse carbon and a blush of aquamarine near the wreath stem.
