Description

1866 1C MS65 Brown PCGS. CAC. A glistening, partially glossy Gem example of this conditionally elusive Indian cent issue. Rich coppery-orange luster emerges from beneath auburn-brown overtones on each side, giving the obverse a lovely peripheral halo and the reverse a full Red and Brown appearance. The lower obverse and upper reverse border dentils are a trifle soft, but the interior motifs are sharp. Light clash marks appear in the left obverse field. Population: 19 in 65 Brown, 1 finer (10/15).(Registry values: N1793)
