Description

1866 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. This early bronze issue's mintage of under 10 million pieces was a steep drop from the production of the previous two years. This predominantly pumpkin-orange Gem shows just a few small hints of mahogany, though these are enough to preclude a Red designation. PCGS has graded just one finer Red and Brown example (8/07).(Registry values: N1793)
