Description
1866 1C MS66+ Brown NGC. Mint red lingers among the devices of this sharply struck, high-end Premium Gem. The 1866 bronze cents were readily accepted in commerce, although they were largely ignored by collectors. This splendidly preserved example displays sharp headdress definition and virtually mark-free surfaces. This is the highest-graded Brown example at either PCGS or NGC.
