Appealing MS66 Red 1866 Indian Cent
1866 1C MS66 Red PCGS. Ex: Joshua and Ally Walsh. A thoroughly appealing Premium Gem for the Indian cent specialist. The obverse shows golden-tan central coloration that deepens near the rim to sunset-orange. The reverse is a deeper, intense orange-red. Neither side reveals any singularly mentionable surface blemishes, and the strike is as full as ever seen on the issue, with sharpness up to the feather tips and four diamonds visible in the ribbon on the obverse. Minor flecks are undistracting and testament to the originality. Population: 5 in 66 Red, 0 finer (3/09).Ex: Joshua and Ally Walsh Collection (Heritage, 1/2006), lot 3050.
