Splendid 1872 Cent, MS65 Red and Brown
1872 1C MS65 Red and Brown NGC. Bold N in ONE. This issue's original mintage of 4 million pieces is modest by the standards of the Indian cent series. Furthermore, there were few collectors in the United States at the time who cared about preserving pristine Indian cents. These factors combine to explain the high grade rarity of the 1872 today. This is a lovely Gem with rich greenish-brown toning over glossy, partially lustrous features.
