Description

Splendid 1872 Cent, MS65 Red and Brown

1872 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. Bold N. Attractive rose patina surrounds the mahogany centers, which show occasional wafts of orange-red. This carefully preserved Gem has no marks visible to the unaided eye and just a small carbon spot in the middle of the reverse. The strike is bold, and the eye appeal is excellent. PCGS has certified only five Red and Brown examples finer (7/09).
