Description
Lustrous Red and Brown 1872 Cent, MS65
1872 1C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. In addition to having a lower mintage, the 1872 was also melted. These two factors created a semi-key among early Indian cents. This upper-end Gem shows bright surfaces that are mellowed just a bit with significant portions of the original red luster remaining. Sharply struck with slight softness at the top of the feathers in the headdress. (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 227W, PCGS# 2104, GSID# 1324)
