1873 Doubled LIBERTY Indian Cent, Unc Details1873 1C Doubled LIBERTY, Closed 3 -- Obverse Scratched -- NGC Details. Unc. Snow-1, FS-101. There are two Doubled LIBERTY cents from 1873, this is by far the more obvious one and also the scarcest. After decades of searching, few Uncirculated examples have surfaced. This piece is well struck and displays significant portions of mint luster, especially evident around the devices. A carbon spot is located on the reverse above the wreath, but more significantly there are random scratches (at first they appear to be letters) to the left and right of the date.
