Description
Important 1873 Snow-1 Doubled LIBERTY Cent, XF45
1873 1C Doubled LIBERTY, Closed 3 XF45 PCGS. Snow-1, FS-009. This is the variety with every letter of LIBERTY boldly doubled. Doubling is also visible on portions of the profile, the L, and feather tips. A second doubled die variety is known, with only the L in LIBERTY doubled, and it is much less desirable than Snow-1. This piece is lovely with deep brown patina and pleasing surfaces. The usual light circulation marks expected for the grade are evident on this example.(Registry values: P10)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 2115, Greysheet# 1332)
