1873 1C Doubled LIBERTY MS61 Brown NGC. FS-009, Snow-1,
VP-001. The closed 3. The Cherrypickers' Guide says: "This
is considered the 'chief' of the Indian Cent varieties. Demand for
this variety is very high, and it can be sold easily." LIBERTY is
strongly doubled, as is the eye, the upper lip, and the feather
spines. Considerable coppery-gold luster is visible on this
specimen. Generally well struck, though the second diamond from the
top is weak. A few handling marks are evident, including a light
scratch in the lower right obverse field.(Registry values: P10)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 2115, Greysheet# 1332)
