1873 1C Open 3 MS66 Red PCGS. The 1873 Open 3 Indian cent is more plentiful in Red condition than the Closed 3 issue, although examples as fine as MS66 Red are nonetheless major condition rarities. This piece is among the finest coins certified, one of just a dozen coins so fine at PCGS and NGC combined (1/25). A sharp strike stretches throughout natural copper-orange hues. No spots appear, and the only mark is a small tick on Liberty's cheek that serves as a pedigree marker. Population: 10 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red, 0 finer (1/25).(Registry values: N4719)
